Nanosolar Introduces “World’s Lowest-Cost Solar Panel”
Now and then we have been listening to the fake promises by for producing low(er) cost solar panels and today the healthily-funded nonentity Nanosolar is apparently involved whipping out the device that would be known as the “world’s lowest-cost solar panel.” The New York Times reports claim that the creation of one such product is being made possible by following a different approach of cutting down the manufacturing cost instead of augmenting the efficiency.
With the help of this innovative process, one can have an access of printing photovoltaic material onto an aluminum backing. Also the company feels pride in disclosing that the company can valuably sell the solar panels for “less than $1 a watt”. With its creation, the solar energy would be cheaper than coal.
Of the first three panels, Nanosolar has installed one at an exhibition, second is being donated to the Tech Museum located in San Jose and third one is set to be auctioned off at eBay inviting the bid off around $1,000.
