Napster challenge (yet) iTunes Store. drm, itunes store, market, m

If you have an impression of déjà vu, you’re not mistaken. We had already talked about the Napster spasmodic attempts to find a market in the legality and win the excessive power of iTunes Store in the sector. This time the secret weapon is a catalogue of well 6 million of securities proposed without any DRM.

It ‘obvious that without protection technologies, songs downloaded from Napster are natively compatible with any MP3 player in the world, including iPods, iPod Touch and iPhone. Analysts, however, seem skeptical about a possible comeback on the iTunes Store, the main reason being the enormous integration of the latter with the hardware produced by Apple.

Currently, iTunes Music Store dominates 70% of the market for digital distribution and has a catalogue something like 10 million of files was recently cut the target of 4 billion songs sold, excluding music videos, movies and television shows.
