Hasselblad seems fully engaged in developing a comprehensive medium format digital system that is capable of competing with the film, especially after the merger with Imacon in 2004. At the same time the announcement of H3DII-50, the Swedish company claimed to be working on a new sensor 645, larger than that used by H3DII-50 developed by Kodak.

More details on the sensor, which should leave in 2009, will be presented at Photokina 2008 to be held in Germany from September 23 to 28. This is the reply of Hasselblad to Phase One, the first to produce a system full frame format 645. As can be seen by the continuing ads in the market for medium format digital development is going to swollen sails and race for megapixels and high definition seems not frenarsi ever.
