Greenpeace wants a MacBook greener

I do not know if they got your attention among the other developments, but the MacBook Event Apple did indeed emphasized that the new MacBook had achieved certification EPEAT Gold, which in theory puts them among the most green technological devices on the market. However, it is not enough for Greenpeace. According to Casey Harrell, the department of Greenpeace toxics, “Compared to how it was Apple before Tuesday [Oct. 14], their laptops are definitely better. That in itself is good. But not yet removed all the pieces toxic. ”

What we really wanted is that Greenpeace announced the first laptop-free materials like PVC or BFR. According to Harrell, “not even have withdrawn the PVC cable connecting external. If you get Apple, could be put on notice to the text of the computer industry that these materials can be completely eliminated. ” Apple says it will eliminate completely all components PVC and BFR by the end of the year. It would be wrong to a technological device that was really green.
