The messenger B & D, developed by Noriaki Okada is intended to allow the blind and deaf to communicate through written messages. There were certainly several phones Braille on the market, but the device Noriaki is much smaller and relatively inexpensive.
On one side of the gadget, twelve points arise and disappear from the surface of the housing to form the letters in Braille. On the other hand a small LCD screen and a keypad allows reading and seizure. Users must connect the messenger B & D to a computer to receive and translate the texts.
Noriakia lowered the cost of construction of its choosing formwork cardboard (the whole being assemblable by yourself), and using a Braille system derived from an open source platform. We are not sure of the real value of this product compared to the models already on the market, but the craft on Sunday of this concept is rather cool, and its usefulness is proved.
