Pioneer DVD drive with Qflix

I never understood why this would create Qflix, a system that lets you buy movies, download them automatically over the Internet and burn onto a DVD with a wonderful DRM front. It is a format so obviously destined to die slowly and agonist, which does not understand why Pioneer launches this unit certified, check ahead of Qflix?
