Monday, May 19th, 2008

Adobe has presented the beta of Flash 10. Since this is a major release, we find significant improvements in the layout of text, support to animation and 3D effects, customizable filters el’accelerazione hardware video.

Code-name Astro, this beta brings with it major changes and arrives without distinction for all major platforms, Mac OS X and Linux included. Most interesting are:

Effects 3D: possibility to transform and animate any object in space
Filters customizable: thanks to Hydra - a new language of image processing - you can create custom filters and effects
New engine for the layout of text: this will allow support for languages such as Arabic, Hebrew and Thai
Performance improved: thanks to the exploitation of direct graphics processor, a lot will ease the workload for the central processor

If you want, you can try preview Flash Player 10 beta downloaded from this page. Caution, of course, because the software is still unripe and could jeopardize the stability of your computer.
