Motorola cites a former manager in Apple hours
Monday, July 21st, 2008
Motorola has said in court his former manager who now works for Apple. The accusation is of violation of non-competition and the fear that the huge amount of confidential knowledge - which man had access - have helped the success of 3G iPhone in the world. After six years in Motorola vice president Emea (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Michael Fenger, rose nell’entourage of Cupertino as vice president for global sales of iPhone, and quote him in court are told that :
He was informed of prices and margins, initiatives for customers and the allocation of resources. He knew also of product development, strategy and planning business and all resources used by Motorola.
According to the indictment, Apple would have drawn a full hands in this formidable reservoir of skills and knowledge, and would use for the global launch of its smartphones. But the real problem probably lies in the fact that Fenger would have violated a clause signed by himself in which promised not to work in a competitor for at least two years after eventuli resignation.
According to what is reported by Reuters, Apple would trincerata behind the no-comment, while any attempt to reach directly Fenger would have been fruitless.
