Supercomputer is a new generation of computer that completely changed history of computation. In this row IBM corp. and the University of Toronto are engage to build Canada’s most powerful supercomputer. It is expecting that this supercomputer will be one of the top twenty fastest supercomputers in the world. This Mammoth machine will be capable to store data equivalent to one million regular DVDs and performing 360 trillion calculations per second.

The entire budget of Supercomputer project, including operating costs and construction is $47 million. The strategic initiatives executive Chris Pratt at IBM Canada said that upcoming supercomputer’s power is 30,000 to 40,000 home computers when they are linked together.

According to Pratt, this project will be the biggest boost for scientists of Toronto University as well as its associated many research centers. Since, it will help to tackle many major projects such as aerospace, astrophysics and more. It is expecting that this supercomputer will be completely ready next summer.
